The primary mission of the Supply Planning SAP/APO/SNP Manager for Lennox Residential– is to continuously improve supply planning process execution, technology utilization and planning team member capability to ensure that targeted customer service rates, inventory levels and working capital goals are being met. Please Note:Supply Network Planner (SNP) experience required.
The Supply Planning Manager leads a team responsible for the development of the short, medium and long–term supply plans for finished goods. The position provides the primary supply plan to the sales & operations planning process for the Residential Business Unit; calling out critical constraints and working with manufacturing plants and suppliers to reach an agreed plan. The Supply Planning Manager is ultimately responsible for the key metrics of network and facing fill rates, inventory turns and inventory working capital.
This role will collaborate with demand planning, product lifecycle management, manufacturing, distribution operations, and finance to ensure the accuracy of the production plan and inventory levels within the distribution network. The manager is responsible for development and continuous improvement of policies and procedures to standardize cross-functional inputs to the supply plan.
The Manager – Supply Planning can be called upon to provide guidance on complex supply chain planning projects. This role can assist in defining systems solutions to achieve business goals, and serve as a catalyst for resolving business problems through integration of business processes with information systems. This individual will be a subject matter expert in the design and conversion from the current hybrid planning system to standard SAP APO/SNP and will participate in developing and approving business requirements, key figures, and planning profiles.
|Manages a team of supply planners responsible for provide the highest service level and facing fill rate within the working capital constraints of the financial plan.
Develops proactive strategies to anticipate and mitigate issues and risks with respect to supply planning. Responsible for providing consultative guidance on the most complex aspects of developing inventory supply plans. Responsible for managing supply planning system and process improvements. Provides leadership to direct reports and team members. Responsible for inventory targets. Responsible for order quantities. Performs inventory segmentation. Manages inventory of new and phase-out parts. Validates and meets the monthly inventory days of supply and facilitates the reduction of excess inventory. Responsible for the key metrics of network and facing fill rates, inventory turns and inventory working capital. Assists in setting strategic direction for Supply Chain initiatives.
Requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least 8 years relevant experience. APICS certification a plus.
Expert understanding of the product life cycle and underlying business planning requirements. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Good organization skills. Strong attention to detail. Solid Customer Relations skills. Inventory analysis proficiency Expert analytical, mathematical and problem solving skills. Proficient in standard Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Expert with SAP or other advanced planning system Technology. Broad expertise in Supply Chain Management, purchasing, inventory planning. Ability to recruit, interview, select, and develop professional team members.
