Job Description:

Duties & Responsibilities
• Dispatch calls to Service Technicians and Installers.
• Complete work orders accurately and completely
• Process completed work orders ensuring they are accurately accounted for and filed. 
• Ensure the parts inventory is maintained at all times.
• Review completed service work orders for accuracy.
• Respond to customer inquiries as related to equipment service, and service invoicing and general inquiries.
• Liaise with Service Manager to ensure productive and efficient use of technical personnel.
• Ensure that service calls and installations are performed in an accurate and timely manner. 
• Respond to service technicians’ requests, both by radio and telephone.
• Follow-up and schedule preventative maintenance service appointments and ensure that they are scheduled in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain customer information in the database.
• Other duties as required.

• Must have excellent English language skills and previous dispatch experience a definite asset
• Excellent customer and interpersonal service skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions based on generally established guidelines and procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Minimum Grade 12 high school education.
• Ability to work in a fast paced work environment and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as superior telephone etiquette.
• Solid computer skills and knowledge of database systems required.
• Knowledge of the local geographical area — streets, highways, towns, etc. would be an asset.
• Knowledge of proper radio communication techniques, pager systems and usage, would be an asset. 
• Must be able to work a rotational shift of days and evenings and every other Saturday; so that the weekend off is a long weekend.
