Job Description:
Under close supervision, assists engineers in testing and inspecting products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

Selects products for testing at specified stages in production and tests such parameters as dimensions, performance, mechanical, chemical, or electrical characteristics. Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests (under various lighting, temperature, etc., conditions) on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics. Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products. Inspects materials, parts and products at different stages of production. Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes. May work in any of the following areas of quality control: incoming material, process control, product evaluation, inventory control, product reliability, or research and development.

Typically 2 years of college, formal technical training, or equivalent. Entry level.

Some knowledge of testing methods, problem identification and awareness of potential problems. Knowledge of basic statistical calculations. Clear written and verbal communication. Familiar with MS Excel and Word.
Requirements

troubleshooting test equipment and product. Willing to train run
test operators.   Evaluate situations to determine test
equipment or product issues and initiate appropriate
actions. Coordinate communications & follow up across
shifts. Create and modify schematics and drawings with
AutoCAD.  Knowledge of HVAC system
operation.


Excellent written & verbal communications
skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a team
environment. Must be familiar with Microsoft Windows operating
systems. Understanding of basic electricity/electronics and have
experience in building electrical/electronics control
systems. Must have experience or ability to learn various test
systems & equipment. Use of multi-meter for troubleshooting
electrical systems and problem solving preferred. Must be able
to read & interpret engineering drawings. Must be able to
perform multiple tasks under limited supervision. Some travel
may be required.


Would prefer some college, formal technical training or
equivalent.
