Under direct supervision, responsible for basic planning activities for equipment layouts in plant, office, and production facilities.

Conducts studies to determine the most efficient sequence of operations and work flow. Conducts studies to determine methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. Evaluates findings and prepares reports, graphs, charts and data reflecting the results.

Good oral and written communications skills. Knowledge of technical plans, blueprints, drawings. Knowledge of commonly-used manufacturing concepts, processes, practices, and procedures.

Job Description:

Must be able to deal with shifting priorities and the ability to multi-task to support departmental initiatives to continuously improve Safety, Quality, Efficiency and Costs.

Provide ongoing support to production processes through such activities as:

·         Risk Assessments

·         Ergonomic Evaluations

·         Time Studies/Work Balancing

·         Down Time Studies

·         Work Flow Analysis

·         Work Station Design/Layout

·         Support the launch of new products

·         Cost Savings/Process Improvements/Setup Reductions

·         Direct and support Maintenance/Tool & Die as needed to address production issues

·         ECO Implementation (BOM’S/Routings/Etc.)

·         Support Cost Accounting to Track Cost Changes

Competent in the use of Microsoft Office products, SAP and AutoCAD.
