|Manages the Comfort Advisors and works with the marketing team and corporate support to improve overall sales results. Responsible for revenue growth, close rate, average ticket price, lead generation, employee retention and Comfort Advisor capacity planning.
Hires, trains and manages all Comfort Advisors and Lead Coordinators in the Area. Administers and implements the sales compensation plan in support of the Areas sales goals. Supports customer contact points including Dispatch and Maintenance Technicians. Conducts regular rides with Comfort Advisors to review policy and procedures and benchmark best practices. Coordinates with marketing groups on promotions. Ensures adherence to pricing strategy set by Region and SEI. Provides lead generation through all points of customer contacts, including self generated leads for CAs and Tech turns. Provides leadership, direction and support to direct team and others in the Area. Responsible for leading health and safety programs by example. Ensures employee training, safety tracking, employee compliance assessments, and incident investigation. Immediately corrects any problems.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Requires at least 5 years related experience. Prefer prior sales management experience.
Prepared and available for travel, as required, within the Area and to its branches. Requires exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills. Possesses strong people management, leadership and professional skills. Able to manages a sales force across multiple locations. Requires expert abilities with building relationships, listening, persuading, negotiating and managing time. Requires knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Knows principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Strong ability to train and coach sales teams. Able to identify individual and branch performance deficiencies and opportunities. Requires strong computer use skills.

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for the management and coordination of Specialized Sales Reps and Sales Support resources, involved in obtaining their assigned team sold quota and revenue growth objectives. This role is expected to ensure that sales methods, approaches, and account development strategies are formulated and executed to capitalize on revenue opportunities and customer retention requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage sales reps in multiple locations
Set clear direction, expectations and measurements; including execution of sales activity, reporting and business processes requirements
Achieve assigned revenue growth targets
Create measurable performance improvement action/development plans
Monitor daily, sales activity reporting of all sales representatives, specialists
Perform weekly Sales Effectiveness Planning sessions with sales representatives
Develop a staffing plan that ensures team is fully staffed at all times
Hire and retain motivated sales personnel, based on district staffing model
Design and maintain incentives that will motivate the sales team
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 5 years experience of managing a sales team
Strong planning and organizational skills
The ability to coach, counsel, and motivate employees within a team environment
Excellent computer skills including MS Office Suite
